Product Info

How do I use these toothpaste tablets?

Simple. Just pop one to two tablets in your month and chew them up a little until they start to foam. With a wet toothbrush start brushing those pearly whites for two minutes for a healthy smile. Spit and rinse as needed. We recommend brushing at least twice daily.

How do I use the mouthwash concentrate?

Please mix the small 2 oz mouthwash concentrate in 14-16ozs of cold filtered water. Do not use before diluting. Feel free to add more water if it is too strong, but also don’t over-dilute it. Use within 6 months of opening and mixing.

How do I use the face masks?

Mix about a teaspoon of powder with a splash of water in a small bowl. You can also use some apply cider vinegar to the mix as well. Apply generously to your face, relax and let dry for 5 to 30 minutes depending on your preference. Please first conduct a forearm skin patch test prior to facial use to test for allergic reactions or sensitivities.

Why do tablets have a weird mouthfeel?

Well, that is subjective and everyone has different tastes. We’ve all grown up with the traditional paste so this is naturally different. And trying anything new for the first time might seem weird or even awkward at times. But we encourage you to try these for a week and we know you’ll be hooked! Think about all of the plastic you are reducing every time you brush too!

Should I use 1 or 2 tablets?

This is up to your preference. We’ve portioned our tablets so that 1 tablet should be all you need for a complete and thorough brushing and to minimize waste. However, some people like a more foamy and messy brushing, so 2 tablets would be best for them. 

What are the ingredients in Canary tablets and products?

How do I store the tablets, mouthwash and face masks?

Please store all of these products with the lid on, in a cool dry place. We recommend using the products within 6 months of opening, although the shelf life is over two years.

Are the toothpaste tablets safe for pets?

Unfortunately, they are not safe for our four-legged family members. We use xylitol in our tablets as it is a natural sugar alcohol and combats harmful cavity-causing bacteria. But xylitol is highly toxic to dogs.

Are Canary products safe for kids?

We don’t recommend the toothpaste tablets for children under 3 years old, but we do offer special toothpaste tablet flavors for the kiddos so yes, they are safe. Please supervise as needed. Our other products such as our mouthwash, soap and face masks are also theoretically safe for the kids as well, but they aren’t formulated with kids in mind and we aren’t sure they would like that stuff anyways. Hopefully more products designed for kids to come from us in the future!

Subscriptions

How do Subscriptions work?

Please refer to our Subscription Page for more info, but it is pretty simple. Select your favorite product or products where we offer subscription services. For your first order you will receive the refillable jar for the toothpaste tablets, or the refillable mixing bottle for the mouthwash. Every four months, we’ll automatically send you refill packets to refresh your stash.  Just set it and forget it. We’ll remind you when your automatic refill is ready to ship to confirm everything. You are only charged once the refills ship. Cancel or update anytime through your account. And shipping is always free!

Why every 4 months?

That is a great question. Mostly we want to minimize the frequency that we ship product to you to reduce our collective environmental footprint as well as save on shipping costs. Also, the packaging that we’ve sourced conveniently and coincidentally holds these 4-month supply portions easily.  Lastly, frankly that is what the competition is doing too so we intentionally wanted an apples-to-apples comparison in terms on quantity, so that you can clearly see the better value for our product in terms of price and quality.

How do I manage my subscriptions? 

Simply log in to your Canary.com account and you can manage your frequency, update your products, pause your next shipment or even cancel your subscription if you aren’t happy.

Shipping + Returns

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping for orders over $32, and on all subscription refills.

What are your shipping and delivery timelines?

Our warehouse team aims to process and ship your orders within 48 hours, and average shipping times in the continental US can be 2 to 10 days.  Once you check out, you’ll find that our communication of your order status is borderline annoyingly detailed. We prefer to overcommunicate. 

Where do you ship and don’t ship?

Currently we are only shipping in the US, and are not yet shipping outside of the US.  We will ship to Alaska, Hawaii and military APOs, but please understand that longer shipping times might occur. If you have any issues with your orders, or any other questions please email info@canarycleanco.com

What if the shipment arrives damaged or missing?

That would suck, but sometimes things like this might happen. We’ll do our best to take care of you! Email us at info@canarycleanco.com with your order number and a photo of the damaged product and we’ll follow up with you as quickly as possible to find the best remedy for the situation.

What are your return and refund policies?

If you aren’t completely satisfied with your Canary products within the first 30 days of the receipt date, email us at info@canarycleanco.com and we’ll process a refund for your purchase. We can only accept returns on unopened and unused products, or for ordering errors. We cannot accept returns on most of our products if used for safety reasons, but also in consideration of the environmental impact and expense of shipping. Are your products tested on animals?

Hell no, never! Making vegan, cruelty-free products that are not tested on animals is part of our core mission. We are just getting up and running and working on our certifications, but check back soon as we finalize those.

Where are Canary products made?

Currently all of our products are mixed or made proudly in the USA, mostly in Utah.  We source the best ingredients possible, most of which are sourced domestically but also from trusted partners from all around the world when needed.
